Where do you live?
Charlotte, North Carolina. I grew up here and didn’t want to come back after college, but the. Alas, job market stunk. So I came home and worked for a few years, then met my husband and here we decided to make our home here.
Where do you work / what do you do?
I work outside the home as a writer for a big company that shall remain unnamed for privacy purposes. I also write freelance for some ad agencies on occasion.
What does Matt do for work?
He owns his own construction/remodeling/handyman business. I think he should be on HGTV - in fact he almost was last year (he was a semi-finalist for one of their competition shows).
What is your religion?
I talk about my faith and struggles with believing a lot here, but I try not to shove Christian jargon in anyones faces. I believe it's better to show than always tell about things as personal as religion and spirituality.
Where can I find all your recipes?
Click the label “Food” in the tag cloud. Also, a disclaimer here that I am not a chef, or include gluten-free or vegan recipes. I'm a regular busy gal and my recipes are not always organic.

Why don't you post more frequently?
I am trying to find the balance between spending a lot of time on social media and being fully present in my everyday life. There might be weeks when it's quiet on here, and it's not because I have forgotten this place; it's because I have weeks where it's more important to show up in my personal life than to show up here. But know that I love this place and this tiny online community we have. I am also fully aware that no one is hanging by a thread waiting to read my words. It's JUST a blog right? :)
