This is a loose interpretation of Bad Daddy's "Frenchie" burger.
Ingredients
2 pounds ground hamburger (you can also use ground turkey if you don't eat red meat)
1 granny smith apple
1 small wedge of brie
12 slices of bacon (cooked)
Salt, Pepper, Garlic to taste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
Lemon zest (about 1 tablespoon shaved from a lemon peel)
Hamburger buns
Mix your ground beef with the lemon zest, spices and sauce and patty into 6 medium sized patties.
Grill the burgers over medium heat until cooked medium. As the burgers are grilling, cut thin slices of your apple, coring out the middle. Then slice the brie.
Heat the apple on the top rack of the grill, and place the brie on the burgers to melt. Once the cheese is melted place the apple on top of the burger.
Serve the burger in a warmed bun with a little mayo, lettuce and 2 slices of bacon. Grilled corn with chili garlic and lime butter (recipe for this next week) and some summer sides like potato salad or fresh fruit go great with this burger!
Serves 6. Enjoy!
Yum!! This is now on our weekend menu! Can't wait to try!!!
