We wanted to keep the tradition now that our daughter is with us, so last Friday while everyone was out shopping for presents, we went shopping for a tree. We dressed Brighton in some red and white for pictures and drove into the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. There is a local tree farm about an hour from where we live called Helms Christmas Tree Farm - we went there last year and were impressed at the prices and quality of their trees.
We found our tree in about 5 minutes. Brighton was in a great mood so we made sure to take some photos before we chopped the tree down.
We spent the evening decorating the tree and watching "Love Actually". I love this time of year!
