Last week Matt, Brighton and I had the privilege to spend part of the week with our friends on the North Carolina coast. This week was to celebrate my friend Jessie's daughter Sparrow before her final heart surgery in August - her entire family joined her for the week and a few family friends (us included) were invited as well.
The weather was hot and sunny and the ocean was warm and perfect. Brighton immediately fell in love with the water and the sand and every morning as we walked her out to the shore, she would squeal with delight and point at the water.
We spent the week playing on the beach, digging in the sand, sitting in the shallow surf and swimming in the "kitty river" (the little river of ocean water that was left over from high tide that Sparrow named kitty river).
In other words it was perfect.

wow she really is a redhead! what a little doll. she looks like the perfect content little beach bum :) it looks like a wonderful getaway and i wish sparrow all the blessings in the world.
